As soon as I upgraded to Sierra, my Gmail account seems to have problems with Mac Mail if the SS filter is on. I have used SS for many years with no problem. To reset theses settings, open Mail’s Preferences, click the Junk Mail item in the toolbar, and click the Reset button. If Mail loses track of the Junk mailbox, there may be no mailbox specified in the rule’s actions, and so Mail will not move the spam messages.
